Roughly 1500 children a day die from drinking contaminated water and diarrhea is one of the leading cause of death among children under five years of age globally.  Every day 783 million people have a crisis trying to find clean drinking water.  As part of promoting clean drinking water solutions to save children’s lives, The Collins Reynolds Foundation (CRF) will purchase and/or partner with Vestergaard Frandsen the maker of Lifestraw and WateROAM to provide access to ceramic water filters.  Among all water treatment methods, water filters have been shown to be the most effective against diarrhea.  The ceramic water filters of Lifestraw and Fieldtrate can remove 99.99% of viruses, protozoa and bacteria for a maximum of 237,755 gallons (900,000 liters) of water, enough to supply clean drinking water for three to five years.  CRF is dedicated to delivering millions of gallons/liters of clean drinking water to homes, villages, schools, health clinics and community centers in rural regions of countries worldwide.
